The Brandon Wrestling Club is a group of young men and women of the ages 6 - 54 practicing their wrestling skills and competing in wrestling tournaments representing Brandon Wrestling Club. The club is in no way related to the Brandon High School wrestling team except for the fact of future wrestlers and a team where ex-Brandon High wrestlers can wrestle and compete. The club is made of six age divisions. The first age division is 10 and under, the second age division is age 11-12, and the third age division is age 13-14. These are known as the Kids Division. The fourth age division is ages 15-16, known as the Cadet Division. The fifth age division is age 17-18, known as the Junior Division, and the sixth age division is ages 19 and over, known as the Open Division.
The main goal of the Brandon Wrestling Club is to win the State Freestyle and Greco-Roman Championships. At the state Freestyle and Greco-Roman Championships, competition is held in all six divisions. Awards are given in each division and the club with the most points wins the State Championships. Also, a main goal of the Brandon Wrestling Club is to create an interest in wrestling teams such as High School, College, and on to the ultimate goal of making the United States Olympic Team.

Wrestling is one of the toughest and oldest sports in the world, and to excel at it, you must work hard, put in the hours, and compete against the best. Wrestling builds physical and mental strength, rewards dedication and hard work, and teaches the value of TEAM while allowing the wrestler to compete and develop individually. Not everyone can be a State, National or World Champion, but if that’s your goal, you have to strive to be the best.
Wrestling is NOT a sport to commit to half way. In order to compete safely and successfully, wrestlers must attend practice regularly and be dedicated to their physical and mental development while honing their skills. Team Brandon has a strong nucleus of experienced wrestlers rounded out by many wrestlers with little or no experience. We compete at State, Regional, and National level in all three styles of wrestling (Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco-Roman). Team Brandon believes To be the Best; You have to Wrestle the Best.
Team Brandon placed 3rd in 2008 FAWA Folkstyle State Championships
